While doing his parent’s taxes, Sheldon finds a $300 discrepancy due to a missing check, but George does not want to talk about it, and requires Sheldon to keep this a secret from his mother. Sheldon becomes so stressed by the requirement to keep the secret, that he asks to stay overnight at Tam’s house in order to avoid Mary. At Tam’s house, Tam’s mother cooks traditional Vietnamese food, which includes the use of fish sauce. After the sleepover, Sheldon pressures George to come clean to Mary. The missing $300 turns out to have been a fine that Meemaw had to pay for being caught behind the wheel while inebriated (even though Georgie was the driver). Because her secret was exposed, Meemaw gets back at George and tells Mary how George once relieved himself in the church’s vegetable garden.
